Use one account cohort and one snapshot
Enter five whole buying-account counts up to 1,000,000: registered N, attended A, qualified Q, won W and still-open qualified O. Enforce W+O≤Q≤A≤N, with won and open disjoint. Freeze registration eligibility and define a common snapshot. Lost or unresolved accounts are not available open pipeline; repair unknown evidence before entering totals.
Cash and internal-time cost are each 0–1,000,000,000 in one currency, up to two decimals. Per-customer contribution may range from −1,000,000 to 1,000,000 over one named horizon. Include variable delivery/refund costs in contribution, not twice in campaign costs. Customer acquisition paths outside registered attendees require another cohort.
Inspect the exact arithmetic
Convert money to integer cents. C=cash+time, linked contribution=W×m, balance B=W×m−C. For positive m, total customers required=ceil(C/m). Additional customers=0 when B≥0; otherwise ceil(−B/m) for positive m. A negative balance with m≤0 has no positive recovery path. Whole-customer ceilings are computed with integer division, not rounded currency displays.
Attendance=A/N, qualification=Q/A and win rate=W/Q. Additional close rate=additional/O. Zero denominators are undefined. A required rate above 100% is impossible inside the current open pool, not a forecast to cap at 100%. The all-open-won scenario is (W+O)×m−C with the same contribution and no extra cost.
Read the example without inventing a forecast
For N240/A150/Q30/W4/O12, cash 4,200, time 1,800 and contribution 1,100, total cost is 6,000, linked contribution 4,400 and balance −1,600. Attendance is 62.5%, qualification 20% and qualified win rate 13.33%. Six total customers are required; two additional wins need 16.67% of the 12 open accounts. Cost per qualified account is 200 and per won account 1,500. All-open-won balance is 11,600.
The contribution balance divided by campaign cost is −26.67%. That is not HubSpot's revenue-based ROI metric, a causal effect or company profit. All values are synthetic assumptions, not benchmarks.
Zero, negative and incomplete states
Zero cost produces an undefined percentage. Zero qualification or wins makes corresponding per-account costs undefined. Zero or negative contribution cannot recover a negative balance through more wins. Zero open accounts cannot supply an additional win. Empty fields are errors, not zeroes. Editing any field clears stale results; reset restores synthetic numbers but keeps the scope note.
Copy/download preserves exact cents, scope and limitations. Inputs stay in your browser; no CRM, webinar platform, paid API or AI audit is accessed. A positive balance supplies no causal proof and no permission to message registrants.

Checked October 23, 2026: Zoom webinar reports distinguishes registration and attendance exports and advises generating final attendee data after the event. Its publication/update date is not displayed. HubSpot campaign ROI, updated August 3, 2026, explains configurable revenue, attributed revenue and associated deal value. This tool deliberately uses a supplied contribution assumption instead; it does not reproduce HubSpot's metric. Neither source validates causal webinar lift. No platform endorsement, benchmark conversion, measured demand or customer result is claimed.
