What the work focuses on

  • UAE and Saudi market-entry hypotheses validated with local evidence
  • English and Arabic customer-journey planning with local specialists
  • First-party data, lifecycle and sales handoff design

Akshay is based in Brussels. Work outside Belgium is delivered remotely and does not imply a physical office in every market listed.

What a regional engagement can deliver

Remote growth marketing and fractional CMO support for teams entering or scaling in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC markets. The engagement combines growth-system design with the client’s local knowledge and specialist language or regulatory support.

Scope by country

Define target accounts, buyer roles and sales capacity for each priority country. Budget and evaluate separately where decision cycles, distribution or buying requirements differ.

Validate the language journey

Review Arabic and English positioning, search intent, proof points and assisted-conversion paths with local specialists. Treat each journey as a hypothesis to validate, not a translated copy of a global campaign.

Join the revenue evidence

Track qualified pipeline, conversion lag, acquisition economics and retention by country and cohort. Align sales follow-up and lifecycle ownership before scaling acquisition.

Regional consulting questions

Do you have an office in the Middle East?

No. Akshay Shaligram is based in Brussels. Regional engagements are remote-first and do not imply a physical office in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or another GCC country.

Which GCC markets can an engagement cover?

Scope can include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Prioritise countries using the client’s actual demand, operating capacity and local evidence rather than treating the GCC as one market.

How do Arabic and English marketing work together?

Plan distinct journeys where positioning, creative, sales assistance or search behaviour differ. Local language specialists should review content and customer interactions before rollout; language planning is not a claim of personal fluency.

What does fractional CMO support add to market entry?

It creates accountable priorities: which segment to pursue, what evidence is missing, how acquisition and sales connect, and when to continue or stop a test. Local agencies and internal teams work to agreed business outcomes rather than separate activity reports.

Practical decision guide / Original editorial method

A country-specific consumer launch brief for the GCC

A GCC launch brief should identify a country, an audience and a serviceable offer before choosing channels. Arabic and English experiences may need distinct validation; neither translation nor a regional campaign label establishes local product-market fit. This is a proposed planning sequence, not a claim of uniform regional behaviour.

  1. Specify the local promise

Document availability, fulfilment, payment options, support coverage and the proof a buyer needs. Review these with the client’s country owner and local specialists. A polished ad cannot compensate for a product that is unavailable at the destination or a support flow that cannot answer the customer.

  2. Review the complete language path

Check the ad, landing page, checkout, confirmation and assisted follow-up together. Validate right-to-left layout where relevant and inspect actual mobile tasks, including addresses, numerals and error messages. Separate usability findings from claims about conversion uplift until an appropriate evaluation is complete.

  3. Freeze the evaluation context

Record the country, offer, calendar window and any promotion or seasonal condition. Compare like-for-like cohorts and retain the commercial guardrails: realised contribution, fulfilment and customer complaints. A launch during a promotion is not automatically representative of the next ordinary trading period.

Apply it carefully

Illustrative decision: an English landing page converts enquiries, but Arabic-language prospects abandon an English-only payment error. Start by reproducing and resolving that journey break with local review. Do not infer that the entire market needs a different product from one incomplete path.

Consulting is remote-first from Brussels. Country-specific legal, payments and regulatory requirements need qualified local advisers; the brief is not a substitute for their approval.
