Google AI Search Impression Share Calculator
Calculate the conditional share of aligned Google Web impressions in AI features, with explicit checks for missing data and double-counting.

A ratio only after a scope check
The calculator accepts exact non-negative whole counts from the same property or exact page, the same finalized time window, Web search type, filters and aggregation. Check those facts in the source reports yourself; this tool cannot connect to or validate a Google account.
Formula and boundary
For AI-feature impressions A and overall Web impressions W, conditional share = 100 × A ÷ W. Require 0 ≤ A ≤ W, whole counts no larger than one billion, and verified comparability. At A=W=0 the percentage is undefined. Do not substitute zero for an unavailable value or use a rounded display as an exact count.
Known answer and interpretation
In a synthetic aligned window, A=250 and W=2,000 gives 12.5%. A=W=2,000 gives 100% within this model; A=0 and W=2,000 gives 0%. These are shares of reported impressions, not people or conversion rates. The Google AI count is already included in Web. See the scope checklist before using a real report.
What the result cannot tell you
It cannot identify the query or answer, prove a citation on another AI platform, estimate visits or assign revenue. Google may deduplicate at the property level, while the page table uses page aggregation. A sum of page rows can therefore exceed a site chart total. Even aligned comparisons can be affected by report revisions and platform measurement changes.
Sources and boundaries
Checked 29 October 2026. Google's generative AI Search report documentation describes the report, supported features, aggregation and export caveats. Microsoft's 13 October 2026 Topics Portfolio announcement explains a different, approximate beta report based on grounding queries. These are different providers and measurements; neither is a count of leads or a guarantee of future visibility. The worksheet and numerical examples are original, synthetic editorial material.
